DESCRIPTION
A sculptural floor lamp that sets three fabric discs on a slim pine frame, filtering warm light through natural textures.
The PULSE floor lamp is built around three circular shades placed at different points on a pine wood frame. One is woven jute, the other two are white linen. Arranged that way they read less like a lamp and more like a mobile, an organic composition of discs held in the air, and the shape shifts as you move around it.
The two fabrics are what give the light its character. Linen is fine and pale, so it glows softly and evenly. Jute is coarser and more open, letting a little more light through the weave and warming it on the way. With all three lit the light comes through in layers, and the overlapping shades throw soft shadows onto the wall behind.
That layered look comes out of 1970s decorative lighting, where a shade was often built as a sequence of screens with the light passing through several at once. PULSE keeps the idea and strips it back to natural materials and a light pine frame, so it reads current.

Why one jute shade and two linen?
Because the two fabrics do different things to light. Linen is fine and pale, so it glows softly and evenly. Jute is coarser and more open, so a little more light passes through the weave and picks up warmth on the way. Mixing them means the three shades don't read as identical, and the light has some depth to it instead of coming from one flat source.
What kind of light does it give?
Warm and layered rather than bright. The three shades sit at different points on the frame, so the light comes through in stages and the overlapping discs throw soft shadows onto the wall behind. It's a lamp for atmosphere in a corner rather than task light over a desk. On a dimmer in the evening it's lovely.
What are the exact dimensions?
59.06 inches (1500 mm) tall and 21.65 inches (550 mm) across at the widest point. The shades sit at different heights on the frame, so it needs a bit of room around it to be seen properly rather than being pushed into a tight corner.
What bulbs does it take, and are they included?
Three E26 bulbs, not included, so you can pick your own brightness and colour temperature. Max 15W LED each, and that's the LED rating, not the light output. A 15W LED puts out roughly the same light as a 100W incandescent, so three of them is plenty for a corner. For warm evening light look for 2700K.
Does it come assembled?
It ships flat and takes a few minutes. The frame goes together, then the three shades attach, then you add the bulbs. Instructions are in the box. At 1.8 kg it's light enough to build anywhere and carry to where it's going. No wiring involved, it plugs into a standard outlet.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, with dimmable smart bulbs or a plug-in dimmer. There's no integrated LED or built-in dimmer, which means you're not locked into one system and can swap bulbs whenever you want.
How do I clean the jute and linen shades?
Dust them with a dry microfibre cloth, or the brush attachment on a vacuum set low. Both are natural fibres, so keep water off them. For a mark on the linen, dab with a barely damp cloth and let it air dry rather than scrubbing. The jute weave catches more dust, so a soft brush helps. No cleaning sprays.
Can it go on a covered porch or in a bathroom?
No, it's rated for dry locations only. Jute and linen don't get on with damp, so keep it indoors and away from bathrooms with a shower or tub.
Is it approved for Canadian electrical code?
Yes. cUL listed for both Canada and the US.
Is this real Scandinavian design or a copy?

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. If you would like to return an item, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving your order to request return authorization. Returns must be approved by Dekor Butik prior to being shipped back. Once your return has been approved, we will provide the applicable return shipping instructions.
Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Additional conditions may apply depending on the product.
Shipping & Returns - Special Order Large & Oversized Items
Large items such as furniture, area rugs, and lighting are special order and ship direct from our Canadian vendors. Please allow 15-30 days to receive your order, we will provide you with more accurate delivery times once an order is confirmed.
For large or oversized items, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return transportation unless the item is defective, damaged upon arrival, or otherwise covered by an approved claim.
Large furniture, rugs, lighting, and other oversized or special-order items may be subject to a restocking fee. Any applicable restocking fee will be communicated at the time of the return request.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or differs from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of the item and packaging. Do not dispose of the item or packaging until we have advised you how to proceed.
We will work with you to determine the appropriate resolution, which may include a repair, replacement, exchange, or other remedy, depending on the circumstances and availability.
